Why do you want to be a tutor?
The most enjoyable part of teaching for me has always been one-on-one interaction with students, whether in office hours, online through an email exchange, or in a tutoring environment. Working one-on-one, unlike lecturing, truly allows me to see how a student is doing and help him or her in a way that is tailored to his or her learning style. While I have a full-time job, I would like to get back to teaching and working with students to help them 'get' mathematics, discover their own ability to do mathematics, and to see the power and application of mathematics.

Why should a student pick you?
Over the last eight years, I have taught a variety of mathematics courses from algebra to calculus to real analysis, first as a graduate student, then as a summer high school instructor, and finally as an online instructor. I have also tutored many students of varying backgrounds and abilities, sometimes working with the same student for a semester or a whole year. I bring a solid background in mathematics, experience in teaching, and a commitment to the student's success.

    Personal Statement:
I look forward to developing a working relationship with each student, understanding his or her needs and learning style, and working toward his or her success.
