- I enjoy reading, writing short stories and poetry, working out and exercising, running, cooking, and being outdoors.
Why do you want to be a tutor?
- I tutored for 3 years at Johnston High School (unpaid) and would like to continue this rewarding work before I return to graduate school.
Why should a student pick you?
- I have extensive tutoring experience from working with at-risk youth at Johnston High School for three years. During my time there, I also served as a mentor for several students, acting as a positive role model and a willing ear.
In high school, I was Valedictorian of my class, a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, and the President of the National Honor Society.
In May 2008, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Plan II honors (humanities) and Cum Laude from Business Honors at UT Austin with a 3.88 GPA. I was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa and the Mortar Board Honors Societies.
Personal Statement:
- Hi, I have always enjoyed school and learning and hope to impart this love of knowledge to others. I can help students with English, Writing, History, Algebra, Geometry, Study Skills, SAT/ACT/GRE preparation and more!
Though I will always cover the necessary material, I do try to make sure the experience is enjoyable. My goal is to empower my students with the skills necessary to succeed on their own.
