Free Responses:

When our tutors were asked the following questions, this is how they responded:

    Hobbies:
      Music, Bicycling, Swimming

Why do you want to be a tutor?
I get the same energy and pride of accomplishment from tutoring that I do from helping my granddaughter learn to walk. She's stronger, I'm stronger, our whole community is stronger because of our mutual efforts. Something in the same vein happens when my students master quadratic equations, or write a persuasive, engaging essay.

Why should a student pick you?
I'm fun, and I won't let either of us give up.

    Personal Statement:
Students are almost always more able and ready than they expect they are. I try to get them so caught up in the process of learning that they surprise themselves, solving problems and mastering tasks they thought were beyond them.

    Any Last Words?
      Keep Hope Alive
